Sasha Allen The openly transgender female performer who made it to the Live Shows on The Voice set the record straight in their first appearance. The first time during the 21 years of The Vocal contests Sasha could make it past the Battle Rounds. The Newtown duo of Jim Allen and Sasha Allen have made it to the Top 8 throughout the 21 years of the live shows on The Voice! Sasha confessed that he's transgender when they were preparing their entry for their participation in the Blind Auditions, and he said to Parade.com that it was a decision that needed thought and consideration. "That was a very difficult decision because you are showing a very vulnerable part of yourself in front of millions and millions individuals," said Sasha, whom he transitioned to while in high school. This past week, during fans week, witnessing the love and support of fans, their reactions and the way the people reacted that it was well-worth the risk. "We used to play it before The Voice was even a thing for us. We were thrilled to receive it. The track was something we knew and we had thoughts of how to set it up. "I found myself pleasantly shocked by how the crowds nailed it."
